Hi Pat!

As the common saying says, "It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."

You do not want to be stuck without DJ insurance... A DJ is a subcontractor, and though he will be setting up equipment on outside grounds, he will not be covered under the insurance policy of the catering halls or restaurants you are using. The last thing you want is a lawsuit because some drunk party guest tripped near a speaker.

In addition, A DJ without insurance is also an indication of a less than proffessional DJ

What should you be looking for: Sample DJ Insurance Policy Terms

  • Liability limits $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate
  • $1,000,000 products & completed operations aggregate
  • $1,000,000 personal & advertising injury.
  • $50,000 Damage to rented premises
  • $5,000 medical expense carve out
  • $250 deductible for property damage

Hope you dont need to use any insurance!
Danny
